EDGEWATER, MD (Nov. 8, 2018) – Tag and Title Service of Maryland, a locally owned and operated small business in Edgewater, has launched a new Chesapeake Bay tag promotion this month, owner Beth Hall announced. Motorists can stop by the company’s offices at 24 Old South River Road 7-days-a-week to obtain the plates. Proceeds from the Bay plate will benefit the non-profit Chesapeake Bay Trust.
“As a small business based in Maryland, we are proud to be part of this Chesapeake Bay tag promotion,” Hall said. “In 2015, our company created a partnership, known as ‘Tag Agents for the Bay,’ to develop an additional resource for customers to receive their Bay plates. The tag agencies in Maryland are proud supporters.”
Tag Agents for the Bay has its own website link, Hall said: www.Cbtrust.org/putchase-a-bay-plate/tag-agents-bay/
“We are more than simply a small business that happens to be located in Maryland,” Hall emphasized. “We believe strongly in being part of the local community where our families, friends and customers live and work. Those family values have always been very important to us.”
The Annapolis-based Chesapeake Bay Trust will be responsible for administering and directing proceeds from the sale of the tags to programs that benefit the environment.
“The proceeds from these tags will provide for grants to local schools, community groups, and other not-for-profit organizations for K-12 environmental education, restoration and protection of our waterways,” said Terry Pompey, marketing officer for the Chesapeake Bay Trust. “Our impact extends beyond feet of shoreline restored or number of trees planted. It is also measured in lives touched as people gain a new appreciation for the Bay, and for the land and water within its watershed.”

That website link includes answers to frequently asked questions for those who may already own existing Bay plates (with the blue heron) and for vehicle owners who currently do not own any Bay tags.
Tag and Title Service of Maryland is affiliated with Silver Star Service Center, co-located at the same 24 Old South River site. Silver Star specializes in the repair and maintenance of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Saab, and Jaguar vehicles.
Both companies are second generation, family-owned small businesses that have served the Annapolis-Edgewater communities for more than three decades. They believe in providing quality customer service with a personal touch, Hall said.
“Many of the organizations, government agencies and companies I deal with make you feel like you’re just a number to them,” Hall said. “Our mission has always been to offer you the best service at a fair competitive price, with integrity and honesty. We believe in going the extra mile to meet and exceed your expectations.
“We don’t see you as just another customer or a number,” Hall added. “We see you as a member of the Tag and Title Service of Maryland family.”
To make it as convenient as possible for customers who work and have other commitments, Tag and Title Service of Maryland is open 7-days-a week, including 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
