Chesapeake Bay Tag Promotion Exceeding Expectations

When she was growing up, Beth Hall learned a lot from her dad about running a small business and the intangibles that enable it to be successful: hard work, dependability, reliability, honesty, family, a commitment to quality customer service, and giving back to the community.

Just last month, Beth Hall’s company – Tag & Title Service of Maryland – launched a new Chesapeake Bay license plate promotion to benefit the non-profit Chesapeake Bay Trust. She put real action behind the Hall’s philosophy of giving back.

“We are more than simply a small business that happens to be located in Maryland,” Hall said when the promotion was launched. “We believe strongly in being part of the local community where our families, friends and customers live and work. Those family values have always been very important to us.

“We’re proud to be part of this Chesapeake Bay tag promotion,” Hall added. “In 2015, our company created a partnership, known as ‘Tag Agents for the Bay,’ to develop an additional resource for customers to receive their Bay plates. The tag agencies in Maryland are proud supporters.”

Results of the Bay tag promotion are exceeding expectations, Hall said this week. Since the big Bay tag “reveal” on Oct. 29, Tag Agents for the Bay have raised over $6,500 for the Chesapeake Bay Trust and added over 350 more MD residents to the Bay Tag Perks Program.

One of the cool features of the promotion, Hall said, is an app that allows motorists to see what the new Bay plate will look like on their vehicle:  http://bayplateme.org/

That website link includes answers to frequently asked questions for those who may already own existing Bay plates (with the blue heron) and for vehicle owners who currently do not own any Bay tags.

To make it as convenient as possible for customers who work and have other commitments, Tag & Title Service of Maryland is open 7-days-a week, including 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
